Ellsworth, by Lucy B. Mitchell, page 71, item A62 and identified as Grandma Stewart. Water color on valentine paper. Painted between 1850 and 1855. Replaced frame.

A rare and important Dressed Miniature Portrait showing a Woman in a White Dress,  with a Watercolor on Ivory showing a Classical Woman fishing on the reverse.  THIS ITEM HAS BEEN SOLD.
Attributed to Mary Way (1769-1833) of New London, Connecticut and New York City.
Dressed Miniature featuring watercolor on paper and silk fabric, with a watercolor on ivory Classical scene on the reverse with eglomese decorated glass matte.
Both held in the original oval gold frame with the original beveled glass front and back.

Dimensions:  outside - 3 1/8” x 2 1/2”
