Chippendale mahogany serpentine chest with blocked ends, straight conforming bracket feet, with large Chippendale brass hardware, originally owned by Benjamin Lincoln, U.S. Secretary of War (during the Revolutionary War).  Mr. Lincoln was also a Major General in the Continental Army. White pine secondary wood. C. 1765.
